Two drivers were taken to Rochester General Hospital with minor injuries Monday morning after two vehicles collided at Route 104 and Lincoln Road in the Town of Ontario, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded shortly before 8 a.m. July 27 after receiving several 911 calls and automatic crash notifications. The collision damaged an RG&E meter and cut power to the traffic signal at the intersection.
Investigators said a westbound driver on Route 104 stopped at the light and attempted to turn south onto Lincoln Road but failed to yield to an eastbound vehicle. The vehicles collided at a right angle, and the eastbound vehicle left the road and struck the meter that powered the traffic signal.
Both vehicles were towed. Deputies issued traffic tickets to Revlyn Mitrano, 20, of Ontario, whom the Sheriff's Office identified as the driver at fault.
The Ontario Fire Department, Ontario EMS, Wayne County Ambulance, Wayne County Medic, New York State Police and state Department of Transportation assisted at the scene, along with local businesses.
