An Oneida County correction officer and an inmate face charges following an investigation into alleged contraband at the county jail, according to CNY Central.
Teresa Crim, 29, of Ilion, was arrested Sept. 18 and charged with official misconduct, second-degree promoting prison contraband and sixth-degree conspiracy.
The sheriff’s office said Crim has been suspended and the process to terminate her employment is pending.
Johnathan Franklin, 28, of Utica, was charged Sept. 21 with second-degree promoting prison contraband and sixth-degree conspiracy.
Franklin remains incarcerated and is expected to be arraigned later in CAP Court.
