Turning Stone Resort and Casino has completed a $400 million expansion that doubles its meeting space, according to Spectrum News 1.
The new Grand Expo brings the resort’s event space to 225,000 square feet and can accommodate more than 4,000 guests.
Turning Stone hosted more than 1,500 events last year and says the expansion could allow it to host twice as many.
Resort officials said they hope to attract more national conventions during the week while continuing to host weddings and social events on weekends.
The Oneida Indian Nation said more than 90 New York businesses worked on the project, which supported construction jobs and added permanent positions.
