An Auburn man was arrested after police said he injured a protected person during a domestic incident at Oak Creek Townhouses while a child witnessed what happened.
The Auburn Police Department said officers were called to 101 Quill Ave. at about 10:48 a.m. June 21 for a reported domestic incident with injuries.
Police said investigators learned there had been an altercation between two women before Anthony J. Stokes Sr., 31, became involved. Police said Stokes allegedly grabbed the victim, threw her to the ground, pushed her against his vehicle and caused her head to strike the vehicle.
The victim was injured, according to police. The department said the victim is the protected person in a stay-away order of protection involving Stokes.
Police also said a child shared by Stokes and the victim witnessed the incident.
Stokes was charged with felony aggravated criminal contempt, third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was processed and taken to the Cayuga County Jail pending arraignment.
