AGs urge Instagram to block location sharing for kids

New York Attorney General Letitia James and 36 other AGs want Instagram to disable location sharing for minors, according to Spectrum News.

They say the feature—recently added by parent company Meta—puts kids and vulnerable users at risk of stalking or harm. The AGs also want Meta to warn adults about the dangers.

Meta says location sharing is off by default and users control who sees their location.
