Crunch allow three unanswered goals in 5-3 loss to Bruins

The Syracuse Crunch (7-7-1-2) took a 3-2 lead into the third period, but the Providence Bruins (10-2-3-2) scored three unanswered goals and secured a 5-3 victory on Friday night at the Upstate Medical University Arena.

Daniel Walcott, Gemel Smith, and Darren Raddysh scored for the Crunch. Simon Ryfors, Gabriel Dumont, and Jack Finley each tallied an assist. Max Lagace started in the net and turned aside 35-of-39 shots.


Syracuse went 1-for-2 on the power play and 4-for-5 on the penalty kill.

The two teams will meet again on Saturday at 7 p.m.
