A 20-year-old Canandaigua man was charged with driving while intoxicated early Thursday after a traffic stop on Route 332, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office. Jake E. Miller was taken into custody following field sobriety tests and later released with tickets for Canandaigua Town Court.
Deputies stopped Miller at about 3:29 a.m. in a parking lot at 2510 State Route 332. The sheriff's office said investigators determined he was intoxicated during a series of standardized field sobriety tests.
Miller was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to use a turn signal, failure to signal before slowing or braking, operating without working license-plate lights and possessing an open alcoholic beverage container in a vehicle.
He is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date. The charges are allegations, and Miller is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
