Tuesday night around the Wayne-Finger Lakes brought no shortage of big-time performances, from high-scoring lacrosse attacks to dominant showings in the circle and at the plate.
In boys lacrosse, Trace Parish piled up eight assists for Mynderse/Romulus, Patrick Olvany recorded a seven-point night for Canandaigua, and Geneva’s balanced attack stayed rolling behind multi-goal efforts from Ryland Dunham, Jack Dunham and Jacob D’Amico.
On the softball field, Haley Young tossed a one-hit shutout for Mynderse while Ally Fenton racked up three doubles, and Carmela Mazzocchi fired a complete-game shutout as Geneva’s lineup broke out behind big days from Asiyah Green and Elaina Trout. Penn Yan outslugged Palmyra-Macedon behind another strong effort from the Breuer sisters, while Waterloo got a dominant all-around performance from Gwen DiIorio in the circle and at the plate.
