Ontario County sheriff’s investigators arrested a suspect on multiple aggravated family offense charges following an order of protection investigation at the county jail.
Juan Carlos Reyes-Rodriquez, 27, was arrested March 13 at 8:07 p.m. at the Ontario County Jail in the Town of Hopewell.
Investigators said the arrest stemmed from an investigation into violations of an order of protection occurring at the jail.
Authorities determined Reyes-Rodriquez used several inmate telephone accounts to call the protected party 12 separate times while incarcerated.
Because of a prior qualifying conviction within the past five years, investigators charged him with 12 counts of aggravated family offense, a class E felony.
Reyes-Rodriquez remained at the Ontario County Jail and was scheduled to be arraigned in CAP Court.
