Binghamton man charged over Trump threats

Federal prosecutors say a Binghamton man posted online threats targeting President Donald Trump and federal agents, according to Spectrum News.

Authorities charged 32-year-old Jeffrey Scott Hamm Jr. after investigators said he made the threats on YouTube in January. He appeared in federal court Feb. 27 and remains in custody while the case moves forward.

Prosecutors say threatening federal officials will bring swift consequences. If convicted, Hamm could face up to five years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release.
