State lawmakers join TC3 to celebrate student success program

State leaders will visit Tompkins Cortland Community College next week to celebrate a program that’s helping more students earn their degrees.

On October 2, TC3 will host an event recognizing its first year in the Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) program — a statewide effort to remove barriers and boost student graduation rates.

The event will feature remarks from State Senator Lea Webb and Assemblymember Anna Kelles, along with SUNY and TC3 leaders. Students currently enrolled in ASAP will also speak about how the program has impacted their college journey.

ASAP offers financial support, academic advising, career coaching, and community-building activities — all designed to help students graduate on time.

The celebration will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 2. It will be held in the Fireside Cafe at Tompkins Cortland Community College, located at 170 North Street in Dryden.
