Sydney Schumacher has stepped up as the new executive director of Geneva’s Business Improvement District, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
She took over Sept. 8, following Catherine Price’s departure to lead Corning’s Gaffer District. Schumacher already worked within BID as maintenance supervisor and grant assistant, and brings over a decade of teaching experience and a background in English and rhetoric.
Originally from Delaware, she has personal ties to the Finger Lakes and says she’s excited to help downtown Geneva grow while honoring its roots.
