A self-watering planter made in Auburn just beat out Corning’s high-tech glass to win “Coolest Thing Made in NY,” according to The Citizen.
EarthPlanter topped 36 statewide nominees in a public voting contest hosted by The Business Council of New York. The final round saw it defeat Corning’s ultra-low expansion glass used in a major observatory. The win was announced Thursday at the council’s annual meeting.
Since joining Bo-Mer Custom Manufacturing in 2010, EarthPlanter has installed over 200,000 planters across North America and continues to grow fast.
