Cruise on the Canandaigua Lady to benefit Thompson Health Guild

A scenic cruise on Canandaigua Lake will do more than offer beautiful views this September — it’ll help support local healthcare workers.

The Thompson Health Guild is hosting a “Cruise for a Cause” on Friday, Sept. 5, with proceeds going toward its Associate Education Fund. The 90-minute ride aboard the Canandaigua Lady departs at 4:30 p.m. from 205 Lakeshore Drive. Passengers are encouraged to arrive by 4 p.m.

Tickets are $35 and open to the public. The paddlewheel boat is handicap accessible and features two restrooms and a full-service bar. Outside food and drink aren’t allowed, but snacks and beverages — including alcohol — will be available for purchase.

A portion of ticket and bar sales will benefit the Guild’s efforts to support Thompson Health, including programs, equipment, and staff education. The Associate Education Fund alone provides up to $10,000 each year to help employees pursue certifications and professional training.
