The entrance ramp from Monroe Avenue to Interstate 590 northbound in Brighton will close at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, for bridge work, with reopening expected Monday, Oct. 5.
The closure affects the ramp from state Route 31 in Monroe County, according to a New York State Department of Transportation advisory issued Monday. The agency said the work is part of a previously announced bridge project.
The posted detour uses Clover Street and Elmwood Avenue. Drivers leaving businesses between Clover Street and the closed ramp should instead follow Allens Creek Road to Clover Street and Elmwood Avenue.
NYSDOT said drivers should expect delays and consider alternate routes. The construction schedule depends on weather and could change. Drivers can check current conditions through 511NY.
