Auburn lands grant for Casey Park court upgrades

Cracked courts at Casey Park will get a major rebuild after Auburn landed $492,555 in state funding, according to The Citizen. The project targets one of the city’s priority recreation upgrades.

The grant will help reconstruct the park’s pickleball and tennis courts. The project was one of 20 statewide funded through New York’s Municipal Parks and Recreation Grant program.

City officials say the work fits into Auburn’s 2026-2030 capital improvement plan. The city identified the Casey Park courts as a priority after deep cracks and depressions damaged the surface.
