A Lyons woman was charged with petit larceny after deputies said she returned a found wallet to its owner but kept cash from inside it.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Tammy L. Eygnor, 65, of Shuler Street in Lyons, was arrested after an investigation into an incident at the Sunoco at 93 Geneva St. in Lyons.
Deputies said Eygnor found a wallet on the ground at the store and returned it to the owner while knowingly withholding cash she had removed from the wallet.
Eygnor was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office for processing and released on an appearance ticket.
She is scheduled to answer the charge in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
