Bath parolee charged after suspected fentanyl, meth found at hotel

A Bath parolee was held without bail after police said suspected fentanyl, suspected methamphetamine and packaging materials were found during a parole compliance check at a hotel.

The Village of Bath Police Department said officers responded at about 1:46 p.m. June 23 to the Finger Lakes Inn at 330 W. Morris St. to assist New York State Parole with a compliance check of a parolee living at the hotel.

Police said parole officers found suspected controlled substances in the room of Keith C. Graves, 67, and turned the scene over to Bath police.

Investigators said Graves was found with a quantity of suspected fentanyl, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and several items consistent with the packaging and sale of narcotics.

Graves was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony.

He was processed and taken to the Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment, where he remained held without bail. Police said Graves is a seven-time convicted felon in New York and remains under state parole supervision.
