A pickup truck crashed into a utility pole early Dec. 30 in the Town of Sodus, sending the driver to the hospital.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said the driver, Katiria Chavez Paxtor, 38, of Williamson, lost control of the vehicle on State Route 14.
Deputies responded around 2:23 a.m. to the 5000 block of Route 14 for a reported personal injury accident involving a pickup truck and a utility pole.
Investigators said the truck left the roadway before striking the pole. Chavez Paxtor reported left arm pain and was transported to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital for treatment.
A passenger was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash but was not injured, according to the sheriff’s office.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Wallington and Alton fire departments and Wayne County EMS assisted deputies at the scene.
