According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Valladares-Herrera was traveling north on Route 96 when he failed to yield to a vehicle driven by Staci Hooker of Ovid. Deputies say the vehicles collided as a result.

Neither driver reported injuries. Authorities towed both vehicles from the scene.

Deputies charged Valladares-Herrera with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor. He also received traffic tickets for failing to yield the right of way, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and operating an uninspected motor vehicle.

He is scheduled to appear in Town of Ovid Court at a later date.
