O’Mara to honor Scott Ward at Veterans Hall of Fame ceremony

Steuben County native and U.S. Army veteran Scott Ward will be honored Thursday as a 2025 inductee into the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame.

The ceremony, hosted by State Senator Tom O’Mara, will take place at 4 p.m. on October 30 at the Bath American Legion, Charles E. Westcott Post 173, located at 14 W. William Street in Bath. Members of the media are invited to attend.

Honoring service and community

Ward, a highly decorated Army veteran, is also deeply involved in his local community. He serves on the Bath Central School District Board of Education and is Vice President of the Steuben County Farm Bureau. He and his wife, Kari, own and operate Windydale Farm in Avoca.

He joins about 60 veterans statewide who have been recognized in 2025 for their service, sacrifice, and continued contributions to their communities.

Ward represented O’Mara’s 58th Senate District during his military service and was selected for both his commitment to country and his impact at home.
