A Bath man faces multiple charges, including felony driving while intoxicated, following a late-night traffic stop March 9.
Police said officers stopped a vehicle on West Morris Street around 10:29 p.m. after observing it traveling without tail lights.
William J. Hargrave, 61, of Bath, was identified as the driver during the stop. Officers suspected he was under the influence of alcohol, and an investigation followed.
Hargrave was taken into custody without incident and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, no or inadequate tail lamps and possession of an open alcoholic container.
He was also charged with driving while intoxicated per se. Police said a prior DWI conviction in 2017 elevated the charge to a felony.
Hargrave was processed and issued uniform traffic tickets. He is scheduled to appear in Bath Village Court at a later date.
