Bath man faces felony weapon charge after investigation

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 41-year-old following an investigation into a suspicious vehicle.

Deputies say Jason York, 41, of Bath was in possession of a deadly weapon and with someone he was ordered by a local court to not be with.

York was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, as well as one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The weapon charge is a felony, deputies said.

The Village of Bath Police Department assisted with the investigation.
