The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office has requested public assistance in locating 40-year-old Ron E. Poore of Gardiner, Maine, after he failed to appear for his court date at Tyre Town Court. Poore faces charges including two counts of third-degree robbery, attempted third-degree robbery, and two counts of petit larceny, related to incidents in March 2024.

Authorities issued a bench warrant for Poore, who was initially arrested and released on his own recognizance, reflecting New York State’s bail reform laws. He was last scheduled to appear in court on April 10, 2024. The charges are connected to multiple violent incidents, including the forceful robbery of a woman and a convenience store, where he allegedly threatened to use a firearm.

The Sheriff’s Office has warned the public not to approach Poore, describing him as potentially armed and dangerous, and urges anyone with information to contact them at 315-539-9241. Sheriff Thompson emphasized the importance of community safety and advised against attempting to detain Poore personally.
