Three children hurt after pickup truck collides with horse-and-buggy

Three children were injured when a truck collided with their horse and carriage in Locke on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred on State Route 90 around 8:10 a.m., according to New York State Troopers who responded to the scene. The children were transported to Upstate Community Hospital following the incident.

Investigations indicate that a 2023 Ford F150, heading east on State Route 90, struck the horse and carriage carrying the three young occupants. The 13-year-old boy who was operating the carriage and an 11-year-old girl sustained minor injuries, while a 9-year-old boy suffered severe injuries.

The driver of the Ford F150 was unharmed. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the crash to determine the cause and any potential charges.
