Man worked front desk at Holiday Inn, attempting to move hundreds-of-thousands in refunds onto personal debit, credit cards

A Rochester man who was previously convicted of bank fraud pleaded guilty to new charges involving a hotel, according to federal prosecutors.

Henry Williams, 54, admitted to federal charges of wire fraud.

Prosecutors say while he worked the front desk of a Holiday Inn, he used the point of sale machine to put money onto person debit and credit cards.

Through the scheme he’s said to have impersonated hotel managers, moving and attempting to refund hundreds of thousands of dollars from those cards.

Williams is accused of attempting to hide his actions by pretending to be a hotel manager and making false accusations against another worker.

In total, Williams was able to steal just under $4,900 in fraudulent refunds. He tried to get about $840,000 in falsified refunds, but was unable to do so.
