Music teacher in Wayne County uses music to bring people together

A music teacher at the Wayne Central School District has been bringing people together with porch concerts.

He started the porch concerts to bring the community together, and this week was his last one.

His name is Andy Kittleson, and those pandemic concerts in Walworth were a breath of fresh air, according to neighbors and community members.

“Music is always a great way to be connected with other people. Music’s a great channeler of emotion and as we’re so separated from everyone, this has been a way to stay connected,” he told 13WHAM.

Wednesday’s show, which was his last, was the 70th show before kids head back to school for the fall.
