More charges have been filed against the Seneca Falls man who led authorities on a pursuit earlier this month through several towns.
Sheriff Tim Thompson says Brandon A. Carlson, 38, of Seneca Falls, has been charged with two counts of Reckless Endangerment in the first degree following a high-speed chase on May 21. But those aren’t the only charges he faces.
The incident began when Carlson fled a routine traffic stop in Seneca Falls, leading police on a chase through multiple towns, reaching speeds of 130 mph. The pursuit, which endangered pedestrians and motorists, was terminated due to the extreme risk. Carlson was later apprehended in Fayette.
In addition to reckless endangerment, Carlson faces charges of unlawful fleeing of a police officer, reckless driving, and other traffic violations. He also has outstanding warrants for grand larceny, burglary, criminal mischief, and criminal contempt. Carlson was arraigned and released on his own recognizance, with future court appearances scheduled.
