A Canandaigua man was charged after police said he slapped another person, held that person to the floor and choked them during a Saltonstall Street disturbance.
Patrick Bean, 33, was arrested Sept. 23 at about 8:31 p.m., according to an Oct. 5 Canandaigua Police Department blotter.
Police charged Bean with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, third-degree menacing and second-degree harassment.
The department did not report the other person's condition or provide further details of the encounter.
Bean was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment, police said.
