The Town of Richmond will hold a second public workshop Tuesday as it develops a plan to prepare for extreme weather and changing environmental conditions.
The Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Plan workshop is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. at Richmond Town Hall, 8690 Main St. in Honeoye.
The town says the planning process will identify vulnerabilities to extreme weather and gaps in existing plans. It will also consider Richmond’s physical, economic and social conditions and develop strategies to protect natural and built resources.
Residents who cannot attend can complete an online survey. They can also send stories and photos about their experiences with extreme weather to Rachel Scudder at rscudder@gflrpc.org.
Light refreshments will be provided. The project is funded through the state Department of Environmental Conservation’s Climate Smart Communities program at no cost to the town.
