Canandaigua man charged with tampering after Byrne Dairy incident

A Canandaigua man was charged with criminal tampering after police linked him to feces dumped at a Byrne Dairy property.

Daniel Kester, 61, was arrested Sept. 25 at about 4:30 a.m. on a warrant, according to an Oct. 5 Canandaigua Police Department blotter.

Police said the dumping was reported Sept. 9 and investigators later identified Kester as a suspect.

The department did not specify damage to the property or describe how investigators identified him.

Kester was charged with third-degree criminal tampering and taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment, police said.
