AAA reports prices have climbed nearly 40 cents per gallon in the past week. Around Syracuse, drivers now see prices ranging from about $3.29 to $3.80 a gallon.
Analysts say the war in Iran has threatened tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil shipments. Experts warn prices could keep rising as markets scramble to replace millions of barrels normally shipped through the region.
