A Canandaigua man is facing a series of felony charges following two separate incidents involving property damage and a reported burglary.
Police say 45-year-old Thomas C. Davis was first arrested on October 7 and charged with third-degree criminal mischief after allegedly vandalizing a neighbor’s vehicle on September 19. According to investigators, Davis cracked the windshield with a blunt object and slashed the tires with a knife. The total damage exceeded $250.
Just three days later, on October 10, Davis was arrested again — this time on charges of second-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny.
In that case, police allege Davis entered a residence unlawfully while displaying a knife, causing the victim to fear serious physical harm. He then took an electric tricycle worth more than $1,000 from outside the home and fled the area.
Davis was processed on both arrests and arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Part. Because he is a predicate felon, he was held at the Ontario County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua City Court at a later date.
