Canandaigua is set to launch a major $6.5 million reconstruction of North Road starting the week of July 14, town officials announced. The project aims to improve safety, drainage, and traffic flow, while adding a new sidewalk along the south side.
The construction zone runs from County Road 28 to East Avenue, with work expected to continue through November 2026. Traffic will be limited to one lane in work areas, and access will be restricted to residents only.
Officials urge residents not to disturb survey markers and promise minimal disruptions to mail, utilities, and trash pickup. Project updates will be posted online throughout the process.
