Patients and visitors to F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua should prepare for temporary road and parking closures as summer construction begins on campus.
From July 14 through July 28, crews will rebuild a short retaining wall at the hospital’s main entrance on Parrish Street. The road in front of the wall will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians during that time. Access will shift to the area beneath the hospital’s main entrance overhang, typically used only for drop-off and pickup.
Separately, from July 14 to July 21, the hospital will repave a large parking lot behind the Constellation Center for Health and Healing, along with the entrance road off West Street. Both will reopen July 22.
Hospital leaders are urging patients and visitors to plan ahead. “Thank you for your understanding as we make these important upgrades,” said Executive Vice President and COO Kurt Koczent.
Updated directions and signage will be posted throughout the impacted areas. More information is available at www.ThompsonHealth.com.
