A Waterloo man was arrested Wednesday morning after reportedly walking into a Geneva home uninvited.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested 33-year-old Joseph Osterhout for criminal trespass in the second degree after he entered a residence on Carter Road without permission.
Homeowners arrived to find Osterhout standing in their kitchen, according to the sheriff’s report. When confronted, he left the property and was later located by deputies across the street.
Osterhout was taken into custody by Deputy Miller with assistance from a Geneva Police Department officer. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in Geneva Town Court at a later date.
