Woman sentenced for assaulting elderly victim in Cayuga County

A Conquest woman was sentenced Wednesday to six years in prison for assaulting an elderly victim, Cayuga County District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci announced.

Nichole Dunn, 35, admitted to shoving a person over the age of 65, causing the victim to fall and suffer a fractured clavicle.

Dunn previously pleaded guilty to one count of Assault in the Second Degree, a Class D Violent Felony, in Cayuga County Court before the Honorable Thomas G. Leone. The incident occurred on October 20, 2024.

Judge Leone sentenced Dunn to a six-year determinate state prison term, followed by five years of post-release supervision. Senior Assistant District Attorney Courtney Venditte prosecuted the case.
