Assembly Minority Conference welcomes six new members in Albany ceremony

Six newly elected members of the Assembly Minority Conference were officially sworn into office during a ceremony in Albany, marking the beginning of their legislative terms. Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C-Pulaski) welcomed the new legislators alongside family, friends, and state dignitaries.

“It is an exciting time to return to Albany as we welcome our newest members to the Assembly Minority Conference,” Barclay said. “Each individual has a proven track record of hard work, professionalism, and a deep love and respect for this great state. While much work is ahead, I’m confident these new members will be instrumental in achieving great things for their districts and for our Conference.”

The oath of office was administered by Hon. Ray Walter, State Supreme Court Justice from the 8th Judicial District and a former Assembly member.

The six new Assembly members are:

  • Assemblywoman Andrea Bailey (R,C-Geneseo), 133rd A.D.
  • Assemblyman Paul Bologna (R,C-Clarence), 144th A.D.
  • Assemblyman Patrick Chludzinski (R,C-Cheektowaga), 143rd A.D.
  • Assemblyman Andrew Molitor (R,C-Westfield), 150th A.D.
  • Assemblyman Daniel Norber (R,C-Great Neck), 16th A.D.
  • Assemblyman Joe Sempolinski (R,C-Canisteo), 148th A.D.

Each new legislator expressed gratitude and emphasized their priorities, including improving affordability, enhancing public safety, and fostering economic growth in their respective districts.

Assemblywoman Bailey pledged to support family farms, small businesses, and infrastructure investments. Assemblyman Bologna underscored the need for economic security and affordable child care, while Assemblyman Chludzinski committed to advocating for public safety and quality of life improvements.

Assemblyman Molitor vowed to address affordability and safety concerns, while Assemblyman Norber highlighted his dedication to safer communities and accessible education. Assemblyman Sempolinski emphasized the importance of fiscal responsibility and protecting constitutional rights.

The Assembly Minority Conference, under Barclay’s leadership, aims to address the state’s most pressing issues through collaboration and common-sense policy solutions.
