Ontario County officials have opened a second public comment period on a draft solid waste management plan.
The comment period runs from March 20 through May 4 as the plan undergoes state review.
The plan outlines a 10-year framework for managing solid waste, including goals for waste reduction and progress monitoring.
County supervisors first released the draft in October, which included an earlier public comment period and presentation.
A second public presentation is scheduled for April 9 at 6 p.m. at the Phelps Community Center.
The draft plan is currently under review by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
