The owners of the historic Penn Yan Diner have started a GoFundMe campaign following a devastating fire on May 21 that heavily damaged the beloved diner.
The Penn Yan Diner, one of the few remaining operational Dining Cars in the United States, has been a community cornerstone for nearly 100 years. The owners expressed their heartbreak over the fire’s impact on both the building and their lives.
“The Diner has been a cornerstone of our community for almost 100 years. With the hard work of our amazing staff, we have built a restaurant that not only serves delicious, homemade food but also welcomed everyone in with open arms and a smile,” they stated.
The owners expressed deep gratitude for the community’s support during this challenging time and promised to keep everyone updated on their progress.
