A Stanley man was charged with driving while intoxicated after deputies said his car struck two large dumpsters on private property early Sept. 19.
Jett Hey, 20, was arrested following the property-damage crash on County Road 18, the Ontario County Sheriff's Office said. The crash was reported at about 1:45 a.m.
Deputies said Hey was driving a 2012 Honda Accord at a high speed when it hit two 30-yard dumpsters. The release did not describe damage to the car or property beyond the collision.
Investigators said field sobriety tests showed significant signs of intoxication. The sheriff's office did not release a blood alcohol content or report injuries.
Deputy Z. Lefebvre made the arrest at about 2:28 a.m., according to the release. Hey was issued traffic tickets under four sections of state law, including DWI-related provisions and a lane-use provision.
Hey is due to appear in Gorham Town Court at a later date. The sheriff's office did not provide a specific court date.
