An investigation into a suspicious person on Olmstead Road in West Bloomfield led to a drunken-driving charge early Sept. 19, the Ontario County Sheriff's Office said.
Eugene Fassett, 69, of Lima, was arrested at about 2:30 a.m. Deputies said they determined he had driven to the location and that field sobriety tests indicated intoxication.
The release did not describe what prompted the suspicious-person report or identify anyone else involved. It did not report a crash or injuries.
Deputy R. Duliba made the arrest, according to the sheriff's office. The agency did not release a blood alcohol content or describe any chemical test results.
Fassett was issued uniform traffic tickets for the DWI charge. The release did not list additional traffic charges.
He is scheduled to answer the charge in West Bloomfield Town Court at a later date. The sheriff's office did not provide a court date.
