Cayuga County Clerk Dwyer calls for compromise over Green Light Law data

Cayuga County Clerk Susan Dwyer raised concerns with the state’s “Green Light Law,” which was adopted and enacted.

She appeared on Finger Lakes Morning News on Finger Lakes News Radio to discuss the issues surrounding the Green Light Law.

Dwyer takes issue with information from the DMV being withheld from the federal government. “I’m sure other states that have a green light law don’t keep information from the feds. I don’t understand it,” she said. “I hope they come to some agreement.”

She called for a compromise over the data exchange, which some have said should not be shared – if used for the purposes of targeting those who are in the U.S. illegally.
