Route 104 closure planned in Clarkson for culvert replacement

A stretch of Route 104 in the Monroe County town of Clarkson is scheduled to close Tuesday, Oct. 6, as crews replace a culvert, according to a New York State Department of Transportation advisory. The closure is expected to begin at 6 a.m. and remain in place until Nov. 18.

The affected stretch runs between Route 260 and Route 19. Drivers will be directed around the closure using Route 19, Route 18 and Route 260, the department said.

The work and reopening date are subject to weather and construction conditions. Drivers should allow extra time and follow posted detour signs while the road is closed.

The state advises motorists to slow down and drive carefully in work zones. Travelers can check current road conditions through 511NY before setting out.
