Ontario County Chamber names Marisa Enzinna president and CEO

Marisa Enzinna will become president and CEO of the Ontario County Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 5, moving into the top role after more than two years leading its member communications and marketing work.

The chamber's board of directors announced the appointment Thursday. Enzinna, an Ontario County resident, has served as director of member relations and communications since 2024, building relationships with businesses and organizations across the county, according to the chamber's release.

In the new role, Enzinna will oversee the chamber's strategic direction and daily operations. The organization said her priorities will include strengthening the value it provides members, connecting businesses across Ontario County and advocating for the local business community.

Nicole Mahoney, the board's vice chair and head of the search committee, said the chamber considered a strong group of candidates. She said Enzinna stood out for her knowledge of the organization and its members, established relationships across the county and interest in its future.

“We are excited to see her step into this leadership role and build on the momentum already underway as the Chamber continues to grow its impact across Ontario County,” Mahoney said.

Before joining the chamber, Enzinna was development and communications manager at the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes. She previously spent more than 20 years in journalism, working as a writer and editor for the Finger Lakes Times and for magazines and websites.

Enzinna holds a bachelor's degree in communication from SUNY Geneseo. She also has certificates in business management, digital marketing, and applied learning and AI from Cornell University's SC Johnson College of Business.

Enzinna said she looks forward to building on the chamber's work and strengthening its connections with members and other organizations in Ontario County. The chamber's stated mission is to support its members and foster a thriving county economy.
