A Montezuma man was charged after deputies said he pushed a woman into a kitchen counter while she was holding a 4-year-old child.
Robert Weese, 48, was arrested Tuesday on charges of third-degree menacing and endangering the welfare of a child, the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office said in an Oct. 1 release.
Deputies responded shortly after 6:20 a.m. Tuesday to an Auburn address where the woman and children had gone after leaving a domestic dispute in Montezuma, according to the release.
Investigators said Weese grabbed the woman's arm and pushed her into the counter during the dispute. The release did not report an injury to the woman or child.
Weese was taken to the Public Safety Building for processing and then to the Cayuga County Jail for centralized arraignment. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Montezuma Town Court at 6 p.m. Oct. 7.
