Yates County deputies charged a Penn Yan man after lab testing confirmed that a substance found during a June warrant arrest was crack cocaine. Larry E. Enos, 55, was issued an appearance ticket after the investigation, according to the Yates County Sheriff's Office.
Enos was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following an investigation tied to his June 24 warrant arrest in the village of Penn Yan, deputies said.
Deputies said Enos was found with a white crystallized substance during the earlier arrest. Laboratory results later confirmed the substance tested positive for crack cocaine.
The charge was filed at 10:23 a.m. July 9 at 227 Main St. in Penn Yan, according to the sheriff's office.
Enos is scheduled to appear in Milo Town Court at a later date.
The Penn Yan Police Department also assisted, according to the release.
