A Canandaigua motorcyclist was flown to Strong hospital Wednesday after a crash at State Route 247 and Lake to Lake Road in the town of Gorham, the Ontario County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies said Edward Ryan Skinner, 52, of Canandaigua, sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his left leg after being ejected from a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The sheriff's office said deputies responded at about 6:52 p.m. July 9 for a reported two-vehicle crash with possible ejection. Investigators later determined Skinner had been riding east on Lake to Lake Road, stopped for the stop sign, and then entered the intersection.
Deputies said Skinner collided with a Kia Soul driven south on State Route 247 by Steven Edward Snyder, 31, of Rushville.
Skinner was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong hospital. Snyder was checked by EMS at the scene and signed off, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies said Skinner was issued a ticket for failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign, while Snyder was issued a ticket for driving with a revoked license.
The road was closed for a period of time while the crash was investigated. The sheriff's office said Mercy Flight, Canandaigua Ambulance, Middlesex Ambulance, Rushville Fire Department and Gorham Fire Department responded.
