Two Lyons residents were arrested after a traffic stop in Sodus led deputies to a warrant and suspected crack cocaine, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies said Albert A. Webber and Chloe E. Goodman, both of Lyons, were arrested following the June 27 stop on Rotterdam Road in the Town of Sodus.
According to the sheriff's office, Webber was driving and was found to have a revoked driver's license. Goodman was in the back seat and had an active warrant issued by Wayne County Court.
Deputies said they conducted an inventory search before the vehicle was towed and found suspected crack cocaine and packaging material used for sales of narcotic drugs.
Goodman was arrested on the warrant and was scheduled to appear at Wayne County CAP arraignment at 7 p.m. June 27, deputies said. During the investigation, Webber was taken to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital for medical issues.
On July 2, Wayne County Court issued a bench warrant for Webber from prior narcotics investigation charges, according to the sheriff's office.
Webber was arrested July 6 on the bench warrant and additionally charged in connection with the June 27 traffic stop. Deputies said he was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance involving possession of one-eighth ounce or more, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Webber appeared in Wayne County Court on July 6 to answer the charges. The sheriff's office said the investigation was assisted by the Wayne County District Attorney's Office.
