Investigators said Fox exited the roadway on the west shoulder, struck a mailbox and culvert, and came to rest after striking a tree.

Fox sustained multiple facial lacerations and was taken to F.F. Thompson Hospital for medical care, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies said Fox was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated and was taken into custody on a DWI charge. She was issued multiple traffic citations and is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office investigated the crash. Cheshire Fire and Canandaigua EMS assisted at the scene.
